Manager Data Governance (m/f/d)

Within PIMCO Prime Real Estate , the global data and analytics team is responsible for the management of global data warehouse and various data domains, establishing governance and data quality processes and ensuring availability of data to internal and external stakeholders. In addition, the team is providing various financial reporting, analysis and visualisations within BI tools and develops an in-house self-service analytics tool. Integrated in the Portfolio department, the team has regular interactions and cooperation with Finance, Asset Management and Operations departments with joint target to enable best possible usage of data at PPRE. This ensures a varied and exciting daily project routine in the context of one of the largest international real estate managers with diverse development and career opportunities.

Key responsibilities

Develop, improve and manage data governance at PIMCO Prime Real Estate
Improve and manage data domain processes: ensure data availability, quality and operational efficiency
Create data catalogs and business glossaries
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define financial reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with both internal and external stakeholders
Create dashboards, reports and visualizations in PowerBI
Ensure that high-quality data is delivered by data owners and internal and external data needs are satisfied
Synthesize complex data into actionable insights and present these in a digestible format to senior management for strategic decision-making
Strive to become highly proficient in the use of internal reporting platforms in order to propose improvements to existing processes, consult colleagues and enable self-service analytics at PIMCO Prime Real Estate
Acquire deep understanding of PIMCO Prime Real Estate investments and structures in order to lead ongoing changes in data domains
Orchestrate data deliveries to internal and external stakeholders

Key capabilities and requirements

Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analytics, Finance, Real Estate, Business Informatics, quantitative fields) is required; PhD / CFA is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the field of data governance, financial reporting or analytics
Hands-on mentality
Data visualization experience, ideally in PowerBI
Proficiency in Python and SQL databases are a plus
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
Strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Fluency in English is a prerequisite; good level in German is appreciated
