Application Hardware Support Engineer (d/m/f)

Location: Jena
Your Duties

Technical support interface (HW/SW/Optics) for Marketing, Product Management, Engineering and customers
Design, plan, document and develop new hardware for sensors evaluation kits from initial requirements through prototypes
Draft application notes, articles and presentations, incl. setup of product presentations and training for customers and internal staff
Performance analysis of ams OSRAM’s and competitive products
Support Marketing, Product Management and Engineering teams; work with international and multidisciplinary project teams
Provide timely and accurate customer feedback and work closely with customers and FAEs to resolve technical challenges
Test and evaluate new technologies

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Software Engineering or related technical field of study
3+ years of working experience, preferably in the above mentioned field
Experience in design of PCBs; experience in testing and characterization in an electronics lab is a plus
Basic experience in optical systems and ARM based processors is a plus
Knowledge of embedded systems and software is a plus
Self-starter with good presentation skills, and self-sufficient in problem solving and accomplishing tasks
Fluent in English, German is a plus
Willingness to travel internationally (up to 5%)
