HV Safety Engineer (f/m/x) for Automotive Battery Systems

As a member of our Battery Systems Engineering Department, you’ll develop the battery systems of the future. You can look forward to a steep learning curve, a state-of-the-art test environment and fascinating projects.

Here’s where you’ll make an impact

You’ll specify the HV safety requirements in Polarion and have overall responsibility for HV systems and components, including requirements compliance, HV components selection and sizing, electrical safety e.g. creepage and clearance distances.
Therefore you are in close contact with our customer and internal stakeholders to align HV safety concepts and prepare technical customer presentations.
In coordination with E/E, testing, system and software development team, you’ll analyse and coordinate the requirements and support safety-relevant analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA) at system and component level.
Last but not least, you’ll responsibly pursue and implement high-voltage safety concepts and analyse and evaluate HV safety-relevant requirements and derive system design measures in close collaboration with corresponding domains.

This is your basic equipment

Completed studies in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or similiar qualification
Serveral years‘ experience and deep understanding of HV systems and their requirements (LV123, VW80300 etc.)
Good knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and Aspice processes
